Richard W. Gaasenbeek

Gaasenbeek is the founder and CEO of Marketing Leads
Inc., the leader in developing integrated, cost-effective
lead generation driven marketing strategies for small
to medium sized businesses. His mission is to show entrepreneurs
and small business owners how the right marketing program
can be the key accelerator of their business growth.
Prior to founding Lead Marketing in 2005, Mr. Gaasenbeek
was a Partner and Executive Vice President at Whitecap
Canada Inc. with responsibility for sales, marketing
and business development. Mr. Gaasenbeek’s mission was
to grow the company to become one of Canada’s leading
e-Business consulting, application development and systems
integration firms.
During his six years at Whitecap, he helped the company
triple its annual revenue, establish an industry leading
level of profitability, eliminate all debt, expand equity
by seven-fold, and increase the size and quality of
its clientele. These achievements were made in the face
of a severe downturn in the Web application development
business that saw the majority of the company’s competitors
either shrink beyond recognition or go out of business
altogether during the same time period. Whitecap has
been recognized since 2002 by the Branham Group as one
of Canada’s Top 300 I.T. firms, and was ranked as one
of Canada’s fastest growing companies in PROFIT Magazine’s
2005 PROFIT 100 report on Canada’s most successful growth
companies.
While employed at Silicon Graphics Canada, Mr. Gaasenbeek
spearheaded sales and marketing programs to position
SGI as one of the initial leaders in providing solutions
for the World Wide Web. He formed a new business unit
while employed with Arqana Technologies that was capable
of transacting $60M annual revenue for a demanding global
client in the telecommunications industry.
Formerly with Hewlett-Packard Canada, Mr. Gaasenbeek
designed a targeted marketing initiative positioning
HP as the leader in open systems and client/server computing
in the Canadian marketplace. Subsequent to that appointment,
he served as Director of Marketing and Channels for
Data General Canada, and played a critical leadership
role in reversing a trend of declining revenues. His
efforts contributed to the achievement of 30% revenue
growth in his second year with the company.
In his career, Mr. Gaasenbeek has worked in all aspect
of sales, marketing and business development. In addition
to supporting Fortune 500 clients, he also has extensive
experience working with small and medium sized businesses
– and even entrepreneurs – across all industries and
vertical markets.
